Haywood EMC has planned a power outage for the Clyde Substation for Tuesday, March 25, beginning at 7:00 pm and lasting two hours until approximately 9:00 pm.
This planned power outage will allow Haywood EMC workers to safely repair damaged equipment inside the substation. This outage will also allow the cooperative’s workers to finalize preparations to return Clyde’s substation to regular operating conditions, following the flooding that occurred inside the substation during Hurricane Helene.
We thank you for your understanding as we work to better serve our member-owners served by the Clyde substation.
Communities to be affected by this outage include:
Clyde, Midway, Thickety, North Canton, Beaverdam, Newfound, Iron Duff, Hyder Mountain, Crabtree, and Crabtree Mountain.
