Each year, Haywood EMC joins other electrical cooperatives across our state and nation to celebrate Lineworker Appreciation Day. Held annually on the second Monday in April, this day recognizes lineworkers' critical role in providing our member-owners with the power they depend on every day.
Whether lineworkers are braving the cold to restore power after a winter storm, answering the call for outages after hours, or performing the routine work of building and maintaining our electric infrastructure -- lineworkers are there for you.
In addition to serving their own communities, lineworkers are also called on to provide aid across the state and nation following major storms and other times of need.
This commitment to "cooperation among cooperatives" is one of the core principles that demonstrates the true strength and character of the cooperative network.
Help us celebrate the great lineworkers of our cooperative by sharing any photos of Haywood EMC lineworkers on the job on social media on April 10! Don't forget to use the hashtag #ThankALineworker and tagging our accounts. We love to see photos of our line crews in the community on Lineworker Appreciation Day and throughout the year as we thank our lineworkers for their many outstanding efforts.
